Our Vision and Mission

Pangolin Aware was established in October 2022 by Elisa Panjang, a passionate pangolin biologist and conservationist from Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia. Elisa's journey began in 2011 when she initiated a long-term research project focused on Sunda pangolins in Sabah. This experience fueled her dedication to protect this critically endangered species. Our vision at Pangolin Aware is to lead the way in conserving Sunda pangolins through a multifaceted approach. This includes conducting advanced scientific research, engaging in educational outreach programs, and raising public awareness through campaigns. We also emphasise advocacy and capacity building. Together, we strive to create a lasting impact and secure a brighter future for these extraordinary animals.
